Industrial supply beyond the quayside

Most of this site is written for a chief engineer with a vessel alongside. These pages are for the other half of the business — the plant, the refinery and the cement works that need industrial lubricants delivered into their own country, with the documentation that gets them through customs.

Stock sits at Mersin and Iskenderun on the Eastern Mediterranean. From there the routes run across the Mediterranean and through Suez to the Levant, North Africa and the Gulf — overland where a border makes that quicker — and out through Gibraltar for the European markets.

Iraq

العراق

Iraq is the closest of our export markets by land and one of the largest by industrial demand. Two routes serve it from our hubs, and which one suits an order depends on where the plant sits rather than on what is in the drum.

Oman

عُمان

Oman concentrates a great deal of heavy industry into a small number of very well served ports. Sohar and Duqm between them hold refining, petrochemicals and metals, and Salalah is one of the region's major container gateways. That makes container delivery from Mersin straightforward in a way it is not everywhere in the region.

Libya

ليبيا

Libya is served by container shipment across the Mediterranean from Mersin, with several working ports along the coast. Demand concentrates around oil and gas operations, power generation and the building materials industry.

Syria

سوريا

Syria is the shortest export route from our hubs, by sea to the Mediterranean ports and overland across the Turkish border. Demand sits with the building materials industry, power generation and processing plant.

Lebanon

لبنان

Lebanon sits a short container run across the eastern Mediterranean from Mersin and Iskenderun, with Beirut serving the centre of the country and Tripoli the north. Demand there has a particular shape: with grid supply intermittent, privately owned diesel generating sets run as prime rather than standby power across industry and commerce. That puts heavy duty engine oil alongside hydraulic and gear duty in the range for this market.

Egypt

مصر

Egypt sits directly across the Eastern Mediterranean from Mersin, with container ports along the Mediterranean coast and, through the Suez Canal, on the Red Sea as well. Heavy industry is spread between the Delta, the Alexandria and Suez industrial belts and Upper Egypt, so the discharge port an order needs depends on where the plant sits. Demand sits with cement, steel, fertilisers and power generation, with textile and agricultural processing plant behind them.

Spain

إسبانيا

Spain is reached by container shipment westward across the Mediterranean from Mersin, with Valencia, Barcelona and Algeciras on the arrival coast and Bilbao serving the northern industrial belt from the Bay of Biscay. Industrial goods between Türkiye and Spain move under the EU–Türkiye Customs Union. Demand sits with vehicle assembly and its component supply chain, the coastal chemical complexes, food and beverage processing and the wind fleet.

Denmark

الدنمارك

Denmark is the longest of our export routes: out of the Mediterranean, through the Strait of Gibraltar and up the Atlantic coast into the North Sea. It is an EU member, and the EU–Türkiye Customs Union covers industrial goods. Demand sits with the offshore wind industry working out of the west coast, the food and pharmaceutical processing plant spread across the country, and the ports and repair yards that serve its shipping.
