Lubricant supply is a logistics problem wearing a product's clothes.
A chief engineer rarely calls because a drum is empty. They call because the vessel sails at 06:00, the cylinder oil on board is the wrong base number for the fuel just bunkered, and every hour spent waiting alongside has a price with a decimal point in it.
That is the problem Team Petrol was built around. The oil itself is the easy part — it is manufactured to a specification and it either meets the engine builder's requirement or it does not. What is hard is having the right grade, in the right quantity, on the right quay, at an hour nobody planned for.
Why Mersin, and why it matters
Our regional operation sits at Mersin and Iskenderun, on the Eastern Mediterranean approaches to Suez. Vessels moving between Europe, the Black Sea, the Levant and the Gulf pass within reach of both. Holding stock here is not a warehousing decision — it is what turns a three-week lead time into a same-day delivery.
We keep inventory at both hubs rather than drawing it down from a distant central depot. That is why we can quote availability in the same conversation as price, and why a 24/7 duty officer is a genuine promise rather than a phone number nobody answers.
Local hands, global backing
Team Petrol is the authorised distribution partner of Sinova Group, a lubricant manufacturer present in over 50 countries across four continents, through its Sinova Marine and Tomoil brands.
That pairing is deliberate. A local trader can move quickly but cannot stand behind a formulation. A global manufacturer has the technical depth but not the quay-side responsiveness. We are the point where both meet: the products carry WinGD validation and Everllence No Objection Letters, and the people answering the phone are two hours from the berth.

Supply is only half of what we do. The other half is commercial: acting as the bridge between owners, charterers and suppliers, negotiating contracts and reading a market that moves with fuel prices and regulation. Customers who came to us for a drum of cylinder oil often stay for the brokerage — because the person who knows where your vessel is trading is well placed to know what it should be paying.
What we actually do
Marine lubricant supply
Round-the-clock delivery to vessels at berth, anchorage or shipyard — ex-pipe, in bulk or in drums, with zero downtime tolerance.
Strategic storage & inventory
Dedicated stockholdings at Mersin and Iskenderun, and a warehouse at Izmit on the Sea of Marmara, so an emergency call and a routine call are answered from the same shelf.
Maritime brokerage
Commercial bridge-building between owners, charterers and suppliers — contract negotiation and market analysis that cuts operating cost.
Technical cross-referencing
Give us the product currently in the tank and we return the equivalent grade, with the OEM approval evidence attached.
